If your displays don’t show new content, the cause is usually the gateway. Here you learn how to check power and internet, read the gateway status, trigger actions manually and verify the start URL – via an HDMI screen or the Qbic Remote Configuration Center.
Please check the following steps one after another.
Is your gateway powered on and connected to the internet?
Connect a screen to the gateway via HDMI to see which state the gateway is in. With an additional mouse you can also operate the gateway.
Click the bottom right corner 8 times to get to the start window. It should show an individual login URL: https://doorzign.zeitwart.de/login/… followed by a 32-character ID.
If there is no such URL, please enter https://doorzign.zeitwart.de/welcome.
The gateway then configures itself automatically.
Once the start URL is correct and the gateway has been activated, you will see the DoorZign Gateway status page:
Under “Epaper for Bluetooth Dongle”, a table lists all E-Paper displays found, with signal strength, battery level, type and time of the last update. The buttons let you trigger actions manually that otherwise run automatically:
Get Epaper – searches for E-Paper displays nearby. Automatically every 30 seconds.
Get Epaper Jobs – fetches new content and tasks for the E-Paper displays (“jobs”) from the server. Automatically every 30 seconds.
Get Gateway Jobs – fetches commands for the gateway itself from the server, e.g. restart or a new start URL. Automatically every 5 minutes.
Reboot – restarts the gateway. In some cases this resolves errors.
Clear Cache – clears the stored data of the gateway app and reloads the page. Useful e.g. after a software update.
save history – stores the current status of the E-Paper displays (e.g. battery level and signal strength) in the history on the server. Automatically on the hour and whenever something changes.
If the gateway receives no response for 10 minutes, it clears its cache and reloads automatically (at most every 30 minutes).
The Message History area shows what the gateway did last – for example when transferring a new image:
Last Error and Error History show the most recent errors.
If a computer is available in the same subnet, you can access the gateway from it without connecting an HDMI screen. This requires the RCC software – please send a short email to support: support@zeitwart.de
You can search for a device by IP range if you don’t know the exact IP address. The device must be in the same network.
Enter the device password. You can request the default password from support@zeitwart.de.
Click the pencil icon to log in to the display and control it remotely.
